2 and a half years ago, a journey began to find a musician from every single country in the world, to come together on one piece of music.
Musicians were asked the question “Would you like to be part of the Earth Orchestra, on a recording called ‘Together Is Beautiful’?”
Eventually, an orchestra of musicians from 197 countries was formed, and the process of recording began.
From that day on, the conversations that were started, the stories that were shared, and the experiences that were uncovered were overwhelming.
The piece written by award-winning English composer George Fenton (The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Groudhog Day, Gandi) Jally attended two sessions including one at Abbey Road studios with incredible musicians from around the world:
“It was my pleasure and pride to represent the Gambia on kora for this project. I’m excited for people to feel the vibes and see the finished track and documentary”.
